Hi my name is Samuel Munday,

I was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes almost three years ago when I was only 11 years old. Since then it has been a challenging journey, with an overload of information and many insulin needles and blood tests. My dream is that one day there will be a cure for this disease that affects young people just like me. I try to never let diabetes rule my life and always make sure I still do everything that I want.

One thing I love to do is run, so that is why I am running in the Canberra Run Festival. I will be racing in the 10km race on the 14th April and I hope to raise funds to support the research that JDRF continually do, to one day find a cure for type 1.

It would be wonderful if you could support this cause, every little bit will make a difference.

Thank you.

Sam
